This is such a timely post. I've been working on and off on a proposal for 5 years and just recently I did a shift with it and decided to target a different publisher. On Monday evening I submitted the proposal - I decided it was good enough. And the good news it, I had a positive response within 12 hours (the series editor is in Australia and I am in the UK 😀). They have made some suggestions which were helpful. The commissioning editor has also come back to me with comments. So it's been a positive step. Thanks Laura - I used chapter 12 of your book, Making the Connection, the email template helped and gave me the confidence to click send.
Hi! Thanks for this. I clicked on the link but there is no information about how much the proposal accelerator costs. Can you tell me? That would be the biggest factor for me in deciding whether to join in January. Thanks.
