Editing course closing today
Happy Saturday, Manuscript Workers!
This is the quickest of newsletters to let you know that if you were hoping to sign up for my self-study course, Developmental Editing for Academics, today is the last day to register.
Once enrolled, you will maintain indefinite access to the curriculum. This means you can view all the recorded lessons (or read them or listen to them — you get to pick the format you prefer) at your own pace. I will also respond directly to any questions you post in the course platform, and you will be able to connect with other course participants if you wish. The course has already helped over 200 editors and academics level up their techniques for improving scholarly manuscripts. Several alums have launched successful editorial businesses over the past four years since I first offered the course in 2019.
I have a lot of other projects in the works right now, so I don’t know when I will be offering this course again. I do hope to offer it again in the future, it just likely won’t be until mid-2024 or possibly 2025. If you think you’ll want to do some professional development in this area in the next several months, now would be the time to sign up.
You can find out all the information about the course here, such as what lessons and additional resources are included, how much it costs, and anything else you might need to make your decision. If you have questions before enrolling, please feel free to email me today and I will try to get back to you as soon as possible.
See you on Wednesday for a regular newsletter featuring new books releasing in October!
