Book Proposal Accelerator - Last Chance for 2020
This is a very short newsletter to say one last time that the upcoming session of my Book Proposal Accelerator starts this Friday (May 1st). If you want to get in on it from day one, go ahead and fill out the enrollment form so I can get you set up right away. This is the last session I anticipate offering in 2020.
If you decide to enroll, your level of involvement is totally up to you. Some people like to just download the materials and work on their own; others prefer to post regularly in the online forum and attend all the live Q&A sessions. Lots of participants fall somewhere in between. It’s all fine by me—I just want to be here as a resource if you could use some structure and guidance in working on your book proposal and planning your submission strategy. My goal is for you to leave the Accelerator more confident that you know what you’re doing when it’s time to approach editors about your project. However much you end up participating, I promise you’ll get something out of it.
There’s lots more info about what the Accelerator entails on my website. The one detail I haven’t included there is our guest editors who will join us for the live Q&As and answer your questions directly. We’ve got Elizabeth Ault from Duke UP coming on Friday, May 22nd, and Joseph Calamia from the University of Chicago Press coming on June 5th. I’m excited to hear from them and grateful they’ve made themselves available for this.
Ok, this is the last time you’ll have to hear me talking about the Book Proposal Accelerator for a while! I hope you’re staying safe and being kind to yourself out there.
